Position Summary

Student Development Assistants serve as an important link connecting Penn College to its constituents (alumni, students, parents, donors, and friends), communicating the importance and impact of philanthropy at Penn College. Student Development Assistants utilize automated calling software to connect to College constituents, update contact information, and secure donations for the Penn College Fund.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Speak enthusiastically about oneself and the College. (Essential)
-Carry out responsibilities in a positive, timely, and professional manner. (Essential)
-Assist in securing donations from College constituents. (Essential)
-Attend related meetings and training programs. (Essential)
-Uphold and publicly support all College rules and regulations. (Essential)
-Complete tasks as designated by Institutional Advancement staff: i.e., updating database, preparing give-away packets, answering calls, contacting constituents. (Essential)
-Assist Institutional Advancement in educating and engaging constituents in the importance and impact of philanthropy at Penn College. (Essential)

Special Job Features

*Casual part-time position not to exceed 18 hours per week.
*Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
*Work a minimum of two, three hour shifts per week during phonathon which occurs from September – November and February – April.
*Temporary position to be hired on an academic year basis. Continued employment is contingent upon the mutual agreement of the incumbent and the Manager.
*This position may be subject to a background check.
